Riverside  "The city of trees"

The city of Riverside is a nice blend of city and country.  A drive down historic Victoria Avenue, and one would never guess Riverside to be the largest city in the Inland Empire.  There are orange groves, nurseries, and an umbrella of mature trees along the way.

In regards to housing, there is everything from the master-planned suburban neighborhoods... ie. "Riverwalk", "Victoria Grove", "Lake Hills Reserve"... to the more natural and mature "The Orchards", "Lake Hills", "Mocking Bird Canyon Estates"... with amenities ranging from parks and community pools to even a manmade "river" meandering along the neighborhood. Also, tucked throughout Riverside, are numerous, more affordable, and "mature", tree-lined neighborhoods. 

Downtown Riverside offers both history and tradition, the centerpiece of which is the reknown Mission Inn.  This mission-style inn has provided lodging for several presidents, but also is very assessible to the public.  At Christmas, families enjoy the annual Christmas lighting, complete with nearby ice skating and Christmas carolers.

Soon to be re-0pened, after years of renovation is the historic Fox Theatre, which will provide a venue of bigger name performances to Riverside without having to travel to Orange or L.A. Counties.
