Corona "The Circle City"

 For years, Corona has been known for its downtown circle... literally, a street named "Grand Blvd" that makes a perfect circle through downtown Corona.  Early in the 20th century, auto races would take place around the circle, past the mayor's mansion.

In those days, Corona was at the center of the California citrus industry, its southern boundary bordered by a vast orchard of orange trees, on the sloping foothills of the Santa Ana mountains.

Today, Corona is more known for what has replaced the orchards... a well developed, and much sought after area, known as South Corona.  From South of Ontario Avenue is one of the most extensive newer developed areas in the Inland Empire.  With few exceptions, the vast array of homes, schools, shopping centers, parks, and churches did not exist prior to the mid nineties!  The result is a very clean and well-manicured look.

Corona has developed even further, both North and South with an array of newer neighborhoods to choose from.  To name a few... Eagle Glen, Wildrose Ranch, Trilogy (55+), Sycamore Creek, Horsethief Canyon, Corona Ranch, and Eastvale (which may soon incorporate on its own).  This is not to mention the "commuter-friendly" Sierra Del Oro which borders Orange County, a community that largely sprung up before South Corona in the late eighties.

With the influx of population, Corona has also recently added extensive shopping and entertainment venues... the "Crossings" and "Dos Lagos"... located South off the 15.  Everything from your standard "Best Buy" in the crossings to "Talbots" in Dos Lagos, there is no need to shop anywhere else.  Two movie theatres within 2 miles, and plenty of Restaurants to choose from.  And, if you're a golfer, 5 top-notch golf courses within 10 minutes of each other!
